Einstein-Marathon 2010:
A team from our firm will be participating and collecting donations for a charitable cause

As the firm’s running team had a lot of fun participating in last year’s Einstein-Marathon in Ulm and Neu-Ulm, we decided to take part again this year on 19th September 2010.

Next to the physical commitment, we ran for a charitable project and collected donations for each kilometer run by our team.

This year we would like to utilize our “muscular force” for the support of the social and educational work of the Edwin Scharff Museum Neu-Ulm. With the opening of the children’s museum in summer 2009, the Edwin Scharff Museum set a clear signal: the museum does not only wish to be a place for meaningful leisure activities for children and their parents, but also a place for education, experience and fun for people who may not normally venture into a museum.

The interactive children’s museum provides the possibility to explore a subject with all of one’s senses and is especially suitable for supporting and mentally strengthening socially disadvantaged children. There are stations for experiments and other activities that enable children and teenagers with little language knowledge or migration background, as well as children with mental and physical disabilities, to experience exciting and playful learning. As we have known of the committed work of the Museum for quite a while, we would like to support their meaningful, essential and socially oriented projects.

In order to make the important and valuable work of the children’s museum for the next year possible, we run and ask for your support.

Our project is planned in such a way that donations can be made for the completed kilometers of all the team or for individual runners from our firm. We have prepared a form in which the mode of donating is explained and in which you may choose the sum you wish to donate per kilometer and the runners you wish to support. A series of events for newcomers and experts

Together with the Commerzbank Ulm, the Industrie- und Handelskammer Ulm (Chamber of Industry and Commerce Ulm) and the Chinaforum Bayern, we launched the series of events „Understanding China – profiting from China“. Occasional presentations will be given on economic, legal and cultural issues in connection with business engagement in China.
